Last summer, members from UNAWE Tanzania have introduced a new UNAWE Club at Lupiro Secondary School in the Ulanga/Mahenge district in Morogoro region in Tanzania. The primary goal of the club is to improve students’ interest in science subjects.
"The new club is the product of the UNAWE Club of Marian University College," according to Kawea Gidion, founder of the UNAWE Club at Lupiro Sec. The clubs use materials and resources from Universe in a Box to inspire and empower students with science and astronomy. Repeated ofs are used in classes and shared through the UNAWE Tanzania 2017/2018 Facebook page.

They conducted the first short seminar to the students of Lupiro Secondary School with the following goals:
1. Meaning of science in Repeated of
2. Aims of the UNAWE Club
3. How to be inspired by science
4. How to maintain interest in science
5. Assuring science in society
After the seminar, the school administration, on behalf of Mr. Steve from academic department, promised a positive cooperation with UNAWE Tanzania to maintain the club development and activeness. “Together we can!” says Kaweah. He hopes to one day see Tanzania send its own satellites to space.
