Earlier this month, EUMETSAT launched a Minecraft satellite building competition called Build a weather satellite in Minecraft.
The organisation invites 6 to 16 year olds to build a weather satellite in Minecraft, a video game that allows you to create 3D structures by placing and breaking blocks. Contestants can participate by recreating an existing EUMETSAT weather satellite or by being creative and designing their own satellite from scratch.
All competition entries will be displayed on the EUMETSAT’s youth education website Learning Zone. The prizes for the winners and runners-up of each category include Kits and starter kits. The closing date for submissions is April 30 2015.
