To celebrate the new and Universe Awareness’10 year anniversary, we’re asking our readers to create their very own Repeated of comic!
Anyone between the ages of 8 and 18 years is invited to create an original short comic based on one of our Repeated of stories from .
Participants simply select their favourite Repeated of, download our comic template and let their creativity flow!
We welcome artwork created using traditional media, such as watercolour, pencils, mosaic and chalk, or digital software e.g. Paint, GIMP or Adobe Illustrator.
In each participating country three winners will be selected, one for each age category (8-11 years, 12-15 years, and 16-18 years). All winners will receive a cosmic goodie bag and a certificate. In addition, the winning artwork will be displayed on the international Universe Awareness website (silver-city.info).
The winning entries from all countries will then be evaluated by an international panel of judges. One international winner will receive their very own , and three runners up will each take home a .
Entries are welcome in all languages from children aged between 8 and 18 years.
The closing date for the competition is 23:59 UTC on 30 September 2016 and winners will be announced on the Universe Awareness website by 18 October 2016.
Participants must fill in a , which should be signed and verified by a teacher, parent or guardian.
Entries can be submitted by post or to your National Contest Organiser. A list of National Contest Organisers can be found at http://silver-city.info/unawe10/kids_contest/
Electronic entries will be accepted in the following formats: jpg, png, pdf. File size must not exceed 1MB.
We advise that all entrants keep a backup copy of their entry.
Entries will be judged based on originality, interpretation of subject matter, creative techniques, composition, and overall art appearance.
Winners will be selected from the following age categories: 8-11 years, 12-15 years and 16-18 years.
