On Monday 27 February 2017, the course ‘Navigation through the Ages’ will start. This is the second MOOC of , which will explore the rich history of navigation, from ancient Greece to for the current needs of citizens (mobile devices, increased mobility, safety, security etc.). In this course, participants will learn through practical examples, classroom lesson implementations, teacher interviews and expert guidance how to address their subject through the fascinating history of navigation. They will also receive tips on how how to encourage their students to pursue careers in the space sector and also how to manage diversity in the classroom. This course builds upon the concepts presented in the first Space Awareness MOOC, . Anyone wishing to join is encouraged to briefly go through the topics of Inquiry Based Science Education, ICT tools for space and astronomy, managing diversity and gender balance, and how to introduce space careers to students, before the start of the course.
